How FitMyGolfClubs collects explicit consent before sending any SMS notifications

FitMyGolfClubs requires explicit user consent before sending any SMS notifications. Below are screenshots of the branded opt-in experience as it appears to users in the live application.

Pro Account — Settings Page

Golf professionals see the SMS Notifications section in their Settings tab. It includes a phone number field, an opt-in toggle, and the full consent disclosure. The business branding ("Morrissey Country Club" / "FitMyGolfClubs") is visible at the top of every page.

Branding visible: "Morrissey Country Club" header with "Powered by FitMyGolfClubs" and Patent Pending badge. The toggle is off by default — the user must explicitly enable it.

Retail & Pro Client Accounts — Profile Modal

Retail golfers and pro-connected clients see the SMS Notifications section in their Golfer Profile modal. The same phone number field, toggle, and consent text appear at the bottom of the profile.

Branding visible: "Morrissey Country Club" header with "FitMyGolfClubs Pro" branding. The Golfer Profile modal is branded with the connected pro's business identity.

Consent Text Shown to All Users

"By enabling, you agree to receive text messages from FitMyGolfClubs for event invites, lesson notifications, and unread message alerts. We will never send marketing or promotional texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."

Opt-In Summary

Default state: SMS is off. No messages are sent until the user enables the toggle.
Consent collection: Toggle + disclosure text in the user's account settings or profile.
Who sees it: All account types — professionals, retail golfers, and pro-connected clients.
Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message, or toggle off in settings. Immediate effect.
Messages sent: Event invites, lesson notifications, unread message alerts only. No marketing.
