Your Rights Under the CCPA

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" of their personal information. While FitMyGolfClubs does not sell personal information in the traditional sense (we never exchange your data for money), the CCPA defines "sale" broadly to include sharing data with third-party advertising platforms for targeted advertising purposes.

What Data May Be Shared

When you visit our websites (fitmygolfclubs.com, fitmygolfclubs.ai), the following advertising pixels may collect data about your browsing activity:

Important: We do NOT share, sell, or transmit any personal information from within the FitMyGolfClubs mobile app to advertising platforms. Advertising pixels are only present on our marketing websites.

We do NOT sell your equipment data, grading results, profile information, or any data you enter into the app or web platform.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of data sharing with advertising platforms using any of the following methods:

1. Disable Cookies in Your Browser

Block third-party cookies in your browser settings. This prevents advertising pixels from collecting data:

Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies → Block third-party cookies
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Strict
Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Prevent cross-site tracking (enabled by default)
Edge: Settings → Privacy → Tracking prevention → Strict

2. Opt Out Directly with Ad Platforms

3. Industry-Wide Opt-Out Tools

Global Privacy Control: globalprivacycontrol.org — a browser signal we plan to honor in a future update

4. Contact Us Directly

Email us at with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request" and we will process your request within 15 business days.

What Happens After You Opt Out

Advertising pixels on our websites will no longer collect your data (if you've blocked cookies or opted out at the platform level)
You may still see FitMyGolfClubs ads, but they will not be targeted based on your website activity
Your use of the FitMyGolfClubs app and all its features is unaffected
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your opt-out rights
