TaylorMade Loft Sleeve Chart: Every Driver Setting, Qi4D & Qi35

The quick answer: TaylorMade drivers and fairway woods use a 4° loft sleeve with 12 positions. STD LOFT is the stated loft with a square face. Turning toward HIGHER adds up to 2° of loft and closes the face (up to 4°). Turning toward LOWER takes off up to 2° and opens the face. UPRT keeps the stated loft and a square face but makes the lie 4° more upright. Every position except STD adds some upright lie. A 10.5° head plays from 8.5° to 12.5°. This is TaylorMade's own chart, from its Custom Component Booklet (updated 07/31/26). According to the booklet, each click changes loft by 0.5–0.75°, face angle by 1.0–2.0° and lie by 0.5–0.75°. The spin figures are TaylorMade's estimates for each position.

Notice that most loft settings appear twice: +1.5°, for example, sits both 2 clicks and 4 clicks from STD. The loft and face are the same in both spots; only the lie changes (1.25° or 2.75° upright). So if you want more loft but a flatter lie, use the position nearer STD.

Which TaylorMade Setting Should You Use?

• You slice: turn toward HIGHER. The chart shows every step that way adds loft, closes the face and adds upright lie, which all fight a slice.
• You want to change lie only: UPRT keeps the stated loft and a square face and adds 4° of upright lie.
• You launch it too low: turn toward HIGHER for up to 2° more loft, remembering the face closes too.
• You launch it too high, spin it too much, or hook it: turn toward LOWER. Loft drops, the face opens, and TaylorMade estimates up to 400 rpm less spin.

Because loft and face angle move together on this sleeve, you can't add loft without closing the face. If you want more height without the draw bias, a higher-lofted head (or a different shaft) may fit better than a sleeve setting.

Each Qi35 spec sheet lists the same 4° loft sleeve.

TaylorMade lists lie as a 4° range (for example 56°–60° on the Qi4D). That span matches the sleeve, which adds up to 4° of upright lie at UPRT. The LS models sit flattest, the Max models most upright.

The Qi4D fairway woods use the same 4° sleeve and chart as the drivers. Not every fairway has one: on the Max and Max Lite, only the 3- and 5-wood are adjustable.

TaylorMade Rescue Loft Sleeve Chart

The Qi4D Rescue uses a smaller 1.5° sleeve, with the same STD, HIGHER, LOWER and UPRT layout. Each click changes loft by 0.5°, face angle by 0.25–1° and lie by 0.5°:
