Cobra Driver Adjustment Chart: All 33 FutureFit33 Settings

The quick answer: Cobra drivers use the FutureFit33 hosel: a letter and a number (A1, C7, E1…) that give 33 different loft and lie settings, each up to 2° either way. A1 is standard. C7 adds the most loft (+2°) and G3 takes off the most (−2°). E1 is the most upright lie and A5 the flattest, both at the stated loft. This is Cobra’s own chart: the same 33 values Cobra publishes on its FutureFit33 page and in its right- and left-handed fitting charts. In Cobra’s words, FutureFit33 lets you “adjust the loft & lie … by + or - 2 degrees in every direction,” and it’s “available in all OPTM and DS-ADAPT Metals.”

Why 64 Combinations but Only 33 Settings?

The dial can show 64 letter-and-number combinations, but some of them land on the same loft and lie. Cobra calls these “duplicate settings”: “There are actually 64 Letter and number combinations available to select, but only 33 unique loft and lie settings.” Stick to the codes in the chart above and you’ll always be on the setting Cobra intends.

What the main loft settings give you on every loft Cobra sells in its OPTM and DS-ADAPT drivers:

At +1° and −1° there are two settings each: one upright (C1, G1) and one flat (A7, A3) for a right-handed club. The loft is the same; pick the lie you want.

Which Cobra Setting Should You Use?

Cobra’s chart is laid out like a map of your ball flight: higher settings at the top, lower at the bottom, and the upright side marked LEFT and the flat side marked RIGHT for a right-handed golfer.

• You slice or miss right (right-handed): go upright, toward E1. D8 is 1.4° upright with 1.4° more loft.
• You hook or miss left: go flat, toward A5.
• You launch it too low: go up the chart, toward C7 (+2°).
• You launch it too high or spin it too much: go down the chart, toward G3 (−2°).

Left-handed? Use Cobra’s left-handed chart: the codes sit in the same places, but the lie runs the other way (the table above shows both).

How to Change Your Cobra Hosel Setting

Use the COBRA wrench provided to you, or any T25 torque wrench. Loosen the hosel screw, turn the letter and number dials to your setting, and tighten clockwise until you hear a single, audible click.

• OPTM LS: 3 adjustable weights (11g, 7g, 3g): 11g back for forgiveness and spin, heel for accuracy, toe to encourage a fade.

• OPTM MAX-K: single fixed back weight (11g), low and back for forgiveness.
